POISON Drummer RIKKI ROCKETT Files For Divorce From Wife Of Seven Years

According to TMZ.com, POISON drummer Rikki Rockett has filed for divorce from his wife, singer/songwriter Melanie Martel, after nearly seven years of marriage. The 53-year-old is asking for the prenuptial agreement Melanie signed to be enforced — meaning that she will not receive any more in spousal support than the originally agreed-upon amount.

The Rocketts have two kids together — 2-year-old daughter Lucy Sky Rockett and 6-year-old son Jude Aaron Rockett — and Rikki wants joint custody.

Rikki, whose real name is Richard Allan Ream, and Melanie met in 2006 and they were married on October 18, 2008.

According to the the Los Angeles Times, Rikki and Melanie have also put their home up for sale. The five-acre property boasts a 3,794-square-foot house in the Castaic area of northern Los Angeles, and is currently listed for $1.3 million. Rockett purchased the home, which was custom built in 2001, four years ago for $665,000. It features five bedrooms, hardwood floors, granite kitchen countertops, walk-in closets and two fireplaces.

DEVIL CITY ANGELS, the band originally formed by Rockett, Tracii Guns (L.A GUNS),Eric Brittingham (CINDERELLA),and vocalist Brandon Gibbs, will release its self-titled debut album on September 11 via Century Media.

Following the recording of "Devil City Angels", Brittingham decided not to continue with the project and his spot has been taken by Rudy Sarzo (QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE, WHITESNAKE).
